Piper Walker

Hello and welcome! My name is Piper and this is my fifth year working with Adventures in Writing. I've had the pleasure of working many roles in my time with AIW including: middle school writing ranger, site admin of in-person and online camps, and middle school curriculum co-writer. During the school year I am a 7th grade math and science teacher. I enjoy my time as a reading and writing tutor with AIW because it gives me the freedom to dabble in my favorite subjects.

I absolutely love to teach. Some of my favorite teaching moments happen when struggling students start to build their confidence and really believe in themselves and their infinite possibilities. I firmly believe that every student can learn to love learning if given the right supports and encouragement.

In my free time I enjoy: reading any and all books I can get my hands on, challenging friends and family to games of Bananagrams, and tinkering on my piano.
