Amy Sullivan
Amy holds a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. After obtaining her teaching credential and Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education, she taught internationally in Brazil, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. She is currently in her eighth year of teaching in San Diego, California. She has worked for Adventures in Writing Camp as a tutor, writing coach, and a writing ranger.
As a teacher, Amy takes a compassionate and nurturing approach and she holds high expectations for her students' learning. She pushes students to think critically about their writing and to use their creativity to think outside the box when developing their stories. She meets students where they are and incorporates differentiation to help students grow and reach their full potential.
