Jasmine Boone
Jasmine has been sharing her passion for teaching and learning across the country for over 15 years as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, curriculum writer, and staff developer. She has worked with students in Pre-K to 6th grade, helping to amplify their voices and unlock the joy of writing. Jasmine earned her Bachelor's Degree from NYU in Childhood Education and Special Education, with a minor in music. She earned her Master's Degree in Literacy Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. While at Teachers College, Jasmine learned from leaders in education and contributed to a widely-published reading and writing curriculum and online tutoring program as a researcher and writer. She has presented at education conferences and traveled across the country supporting administrators and teachers in implementing research-based literacy curriculum and becoming more responsive, inclusive teachers. Jasmine is a Bay Area native, and after over a decade in NYC, she decided to return to the Bay Area and the classroom, where she spends her days singing, playing ukulele, and crafting powerful writing with her amazing 2nd grade students in Berkeley!
